Importance of Multi-Modal Communications

In a world where communication floods our environment, it's important to remember that individuals need to hear a new message at least seven times for it to register in their mind. That doesn't mean seven e-mails, seven news releases, seven ads, or a multiple repeat of any one tactic. While individuals often favor and better respond to one form of communication over another (some prefer phone to e-mail for instance) effective communication is strategically planned to contact the target audiences in a variety of ways so that messages will stand a better chance of touching the right person at the right time...in the right way. A multi-modal, multi-touch communication and lead generation program will always outperform standalone marketing tactics.

Valerie Nixon, who has focused the past 12 years of her career in the technology sector,  joined ISOdx in February of 2007. She began her career in communications as a newspaper reporter, and branched into public relations and marketing. Marketing/communications management positions she held in Columbus, Ohio include Otterbein College, Riverside Methodist Hospitals, Metatec (now Zomax). She also served as director of corporate communications for Sterling Commerce, a global software company, and held a marketing management role in Tampa with BST Global prior to joining ISOdx.

Multiple Intelligence

Multiple Intelligence – How working in groups can sometimes produce a
vastly superior deliverable
Ever heard this: “I love my work, but I hate doing it in groups. Group work is cumbersome, and it slows down the decision-making process.” Many of us feel this way. But research shows some very legitimate reasons why working in groups can sometimes produce a vastly superior deliverable. The reason for the superior performance is that, correctly done, group work relies on “multiple intelligence.” Hear an explanation of how multiple intelligence works and when it should and should not be applied. And be sure to join us on Monday, April 14th to take part in a live demonstration of multiple intelligence at work.
