Opinion: Sending jobs to other countries stimulates trade and actually creates a stronger economy in the U.S., and in the long run, more jobs.
Opinion: The loss of jobs here in the U.S. even in the midst of a strengthening economy. U.S. Forrester says many job categories could see as much as a thirty percent shift of jobs overseas.
Companies are jumping on the cost saving band wagon to move such skills as software programming, help desk assistance, file storage and back up, and other highly technical jobs to offshore locations in an effort to cut costs. Gartner, Inc. has announced that one in 20 IT jobs will go offshore by 2004.

A 2-hour workshop on database table design and SQL statements. Data is every IT professional’s bread and butter. What is the purpose of an ERP application or a website if not to transfer, or otherwise manipulate data? Understanding how data is being captured and displayed is critical for anyone who is interested in a career in IT. We would analyze a hypothetical project and discuss database and database definitions and data design. Then we would also cover basic SQL(structured query language). SQL is the standard language to communicate with a relational database - another essential tool.
